The Herdwick sheepskin is a long-haired fleece with a beautifully thick and soft texture, in natural tones of grey, cream and brown.

Now available in five sizes, our Herdwick sheepskins make a wonderful room feature as floor rugs, bed or sofa throws or chair covers.

Herdwick sheep are a rare breed sheep native to the fells of the Lake District.

Please note that all stitched sheepskins (double and larger) are made to order, so allow extra time for delivery. For doubles, allow an extra 2 days. For triple and larger sheepskins, allow up to 2 weeks.

Ordered the Octo to use both on the bed and sofas, it was delivered on time, exactly as we discussed and it is absolutely superb ! It's on a Loaf sofa and it has transformed it. Delighted with the purchase and will probably have to order another one at some point. Don't hesitate, get one ordered.

I ordered a sexto Herdwick fleece rug for my new garden room as I felt the wood floor needed softening a little. Lucy emailed a choice of two and helped me withe size and the rug was delivered to me in less than a week. It is absolutely beautiful and has transformed the room. After receiving some photo’s from Lucy to check the colours as I wanted to include some grey tones, I decided on two medium Herdwick fleeces as seat padding for our ‘L’ shaped wooden built in bench seating in the breakfast room. I had a picture in my mind as to what they would look like and they look even better than expected, plus they are lovely and thick so will be very comfortable to sit on whilst I enjoy my breakfast and read the paper at the weekend! Just unboxed our two double Herdwick fleeces – they look and feel amazing laid out by our bedsides! This business is simply great. Informative and well-constructed pre-sales info on the website, as well as a bit of after-sales too – I just found the handy care guide. Lucy offers a super-responsive, personal consultation service, finding rugs that fit our brief almost immediately. Production was insanely quick and delivery was made to suit me. I have just received one double and one XL Herdwick Fleece. I asked that, if possible the two rugs be as similar as possible since they reside very close to each other. Despite the difficulty on matching such unique and variable items, Lucy has achieved what I needed. The rugs are superb! The service was excellent - delivered within a couple of days (extra time to sew the double), and within a given 1 hour slot.

I managed to buy the last Herdwick Large rug that Lucy had in stock and I wanted to try and match it to three others I bought two years ago. Well it is beautiful, similar colouring but even though all four are slightly different they match wonderfully and the quality is amazing. There is a major problem with The Fabulous Fleece Company website - it has far too many beautiful fleeces to choose from! so many in fact that I needed help from Lucy in choosing the perfect one. I recently bought 4 Herdwick sheepskins and I am so pleased them. Each one is different in the colours, patterns and length of fleece but they all go really well together. I love the multi-toned shading and the natural earthy colours of the sheepskins, they look fab on our brown leather sofa. They are amazingly warm and comfy and arrived in perfect condition. Lucy was great to work with and sent me photos to choose from and posted the items very quickly. Many thanks for such great quality products and service

I recently bought two Herdwick Fleeces and am over the moon with them. They are both really beautiful, thick multi toned fleeces and look stunning in our bedroom. I was unsure what to buy initially and it was due to Lucy's fab customer service, which went above and beyond - including photos, phone calls and several emails, which helped me with my purchase. The Fabulous Fleece company really care about their customers which is lovely. I will definitely be back for more, its great to be able to get top products and also support such a lovely company.
